Build Your Own Electric Car
And Never Pay For Gas Again

Have you ever wanted to build your own electric car but aren't sure how to go about it?

Well it's not as hard as you may think.

In fact, I came across this free 12 page book that provides you with a step by step guide on how to convert your car to electric.

This book made me realise that it's possible for a person like me (a non mechanic) to build your own electric car without the need to buy a hybrid electric vehicle (EV).

Les and Jane Oke wrote the book since they wanted to share their ideas. They have successfully converted three of their own cars and helped out hundreds of other people to do the same.

The video shown above demonstrates that you too can build your own electric car. All you need is the motivation and knowledge to do so. You can obtain this knowledge by grabbing a copy of free 12 page book in the link above.

What advantage is it to build your own electric car?.

  1. You won't have to wait for new electric cars (EVs) to come onto the market

  2. You will save yourself thousands of dollars now if you convert your existing car to electric since gasoline prices are only going to get higher. Just think of how much you'll save every month on gasoline/diesel alone.

  3. You may not realise this but the cost to converting your own car to electric is only about five hundred dollars.

In comparison, future new electric vehicles bought through a car dealership will cost at least twice as much as brand new gasoline powered vehicles.

  4. You will automatically help contribute to a reduction in smog levels during peak hour at the location where you use your electric car.

So how practical are electric cars for everyday use?

To be honest with you, if you're going to build your own electric car then it's wise that you own a second car that's gasoline/diesel powered.

The main reason is that if you're planning to travel any distance on the highway, then your converted electric car will run out of power after travelling 100-140 miles (160-225 kilometres).

You'll then need to find a public charging station in order to recharge the batteries. These public charging stations are few and far between when you're far from the city. For this reason, it's best to use your gasoline powered car for travelling longer distances.

Approximately 60% of U.S, U.K and Australian households own more than one vehicle. So it makes sense to use your newly converted electric car for short trips like dropping kids off to school, going to the shops for groceries or just driving around the city. On the weekend, you can then revert back to your conventional gasoline/diesel vehicle for longer haul travel if need be.

As you know, city driving habits quickly empties the gasoline tank, so it's much wiser in the long run to use your electric car in the city and use your gasoline car outside the city. You'll end up saving heaps of money by doing this.

Did you know that there used to be more electric powered cars on the road than there were gasoline powered ones during 1900-1910? Most of the smog problems in the city weren't caused by cars back then, but by polluting industries. These days, the opposite is true in most large cities throughout the world.

This urban based smog can effectively be eliminated if you build your own electric car and use it in the city. If the majority of population did this, there would hardly be any smog. Furthermore, electric powered cars are whisper quiet and that would be the end of noisy weekday peak hour traffic.
